Lauren Bushnell Says She and Chris Lane Will ‘Hopefully’ Have Kids ‘Sooner Than Later’
Baby on the brain! Former Bachelor contestant Lauren Bushnell admitted that she definitely wants kids with her fiancé, Chris Lane. The reality babe and country music singer got engaged in June and seem over-the-moon about this exciting new chapter in their lives. However, they also can’t help but look ahead at what’s to come.
“You’ll be the best dad,” the 29-year-old blonde beauty captioned a sweet Instagram photo on August 25 that showed Chris, 34, holding a young fan’s hand on stage during a show. The flight attendant added, “[One day] cuz I just realized y’all gunna think I’m [pregnant].” Although she’s not currently expecting, she admitted that babies might not be far off.
“When are y’all planning to have kids? You will make such gorgeous kids! I love you and Chris,” a curious fan wrote in the comments. Lauren simply responded, “Hopefully, sooner than later,” and tagged her future husband.
The country crooner just got down on one knee so the couple is probably happy to take it one step at a time. When it came to popping the big question, Chris kept it simple and intimate. “I knew she wouldn’t want some elaborate crazy proposal … so I decided to keep it pretty casual,” he told People after they announced their engagement. “I asked her parents for different places in Portland I could potentially take her to, but after a lot of thought I decided doing it at the family cookout would be the most laid-back setting and that she’d appreciate the simplicity of me proposing to her in her parents’ backyard. … I was initially worried that doing it on Father’s Day might not be the best move, but her dad, Dave, said that it could only add to his Father’s Day and that’s when I decided Sunday, June 16 was the day.”
He definitely won Lauren’s heart. “I feel so incredibly blessed that every misstep, mistake and heartache has led me to you. I couldn’t be happier to call you mine, forever,” she gushed about her man on Instagram on June 18. “The journey was well worth it. Thank you, Christopher Eric Lane, for softening my heart and making it whole. Never going to stop telling you how much I love you and I will hold onto you forever and ever! Lauren Lane has a nice ring to it.”
