It looks like Miranda Lambert and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, are in no rush to have children together. Instead, the newlyweds are busy focusing on their relationship and their careers.
“Between touring and recording new music, they don’t have the time to start trying,” a source exclusively told Life & Style. That doesn’t mean they don’t do any parenting, though. Brendan has a son — Landon — from his previous relationship, and the singer has an awesome bond with him. “My stepson is amazing,” she told Extra in June. “I’m loving that whole phase, and I’ve raised a million dogs, so I feel like I’ve got that part of my womanly/motherly thing full, so this is a whole new journey. It’s great.”
The couple got married in February — three months after they met. So far, they’re enjoying their life together. They’ve also managed to find a happy medium in their hectic schedules. Half their time is spent in New York or in Nashville. “We have the best of both worlds,” the country star divulged. “We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget, then we get to come back to the farm and have the quiet life. I’m enjoying the balance.”
In addition, Brendan has adjusted well to living with his wife. For starters, he’s all about their animals now even though he didn’t have any pets prior to marrying the blonde beauty. “He’s a great guy and, bless his heart, he didn’t have any dogs or any animals at all when he came into this relationship, so he inherited a whole barn full,” the “Tin Man” crooner said. “He lives with a crazy dog lady.”
While the couple have their hands full with their pets, that doesn’t mean a baby isn’t in their future. In November 2018, an insider exclusively told Life & Style that Miranda is determined to be a mom. Therefore, it looks like it’s all about timing!
“[Miranda] has wanted to have children for as long as she can remember, and she’s finally come to realize that she doesn’t need a guy to fulfill her dreams,” the source said at the time. “She’s decided she’s going to have the life she’s always dreamed of — with or without a man.” Luckily, she got her man!
