Baby Joy! Nikki Bella Gushes Over Sister Brie’s Newborn Son Buddy
Proud aunt alert! Nikki Bella couldn’t help but gush over sister Brie Bella’s newborn son, Buddy Dessert. “I mean!!!” the Total Bellas star, 36, commented on the sweetest photo of her baby nephew, along with four heart-eyed emojis.
Brie and her husband, Daniel Bryan, who also share daughter Birdie, welcomed Buddy on August 1. “It’s a BOY!!!” the Incomparable coauthor captioned her announcement on Instagram. “We are overwhelmed with joy and everyone is healthy!!!”
On July 31, Nikki and her fiancé, Artem Chigvintsev, welcomed baby No. 1, a son named Matteo. “Our baby boy is here and we couldn’t be HAPPIER and more in LOVE!” the California native wrote at the time. “Everyone is safe and healthy.”
While the famous twins have always had an unbreakable bond, their joint pregnancies definitely strengthened their relationship. “Nikki and Brie gave birth on almost the same day, and they couldn’t be happier about it,” a source previously told Life & Style. “There was no sibling rivalry between them when it came to sharing their special day.”
Throughout Nikki’s pregnancy, she was quick to turn to Brie for advice. According to the WWE wrestler, “letting go of vanity” was her sibling’s best tip. “Being a first-time mom and just as your body changes. It’s not just the outer part but it’s the inner part — your hormones are going crazy,” Nikki exclusively told Life & Style in March.
“You, I think, look at yourself in the mirror a lot differently than [other] people do, and I think, you know, also being in the spotlight, [adds to it],” she continued. “So, Brie is just constantly reminding me, ‘You’re pregnant. Vanity doesn’t even exist anymore,’ and is trying to just have me be present and appreciate these changes, and it’s tough.”
Now that Nikki and Artem’s bundle of joy is finally here, it’s safe to say the lovebirds can resume their wedding planning — in between changing diapers, of course. The Total Divas alum and Dancing With the Stars pro, 38, put a pause their nuptials on pause after finding out they were expecting.
