Pink Performed on the Side of a Hotel at the AMAs — and Waved to Guests Watching From Their Rooms

There’s nothing she can’t do! Pop powerhouse/aerialist Pink performed her new single “Beautiful Trauma” while hanging off the side of a hotel during the 2017 American Music Awards. Not only did she kill it, the superstar, 38, even made sure to wave to hotel guests who were watching the incredible number from their rooms!

Fans quickly took to Twitter once they noticed that Pink acknowledged the lucky individuals who had a close-up view as she not only sang, but executed graceful choreography from several stories up in the air on the side of the 34-floor JW Marriott hotel in downtown LA. “OMG PINK! U are a queen!! Singing and saying hi to ur fans!” one Twitter user enthused, while another wrote, “Pink is honestly the best! Love that she took time to wave to her fans while hanging from the freaking air!!”

Though she wowed hotel guests and viewers at home, it was just days ago that Pink revealed she was rather nervous about going through with the gravity-defying stunt. “I’m just afraid I’m going to get up there and be like, ‘I don’t know if I can do this,’” the singer said in an Instagram video posted on Friday, Nov. 17.

“I don’t care about heights, I just care about being able to actually breathe up there…I feel the fear this time,” Pink said as she was shown practicing her aerial dance moves. “This is nothing you can prepare for.”

Prior to belting “Beautiful Trauma” from the side of a skyscraper, the Grammy winner opened the AMAs alongside Kelly Clarkson. The talented twosome tore the house down with an emotional rendition of R.E.M.’s 1992 hit “Everybody Hurts.”
