It’s a … boy! Bachelor Nation alums Carly Waddell and Evan Bass revealed the sex of their second child during the Bachelor in Paradise finale on September 17. Carly is due in November and it sounds like the parents will definitely have their hands full with the new addition and their 19-month-old daughter, Bella.

The gender reveal was … interesting. Chris Harrison cued for a giant cake to be rolled out and the couple anxiously awaited to see the results. Wells Adams then popped out wearing a giant blue onesie and they seemed over-the-moon excited about their soon-to-be son.

Carly is creeping closer to her due date but revealed to fans that she was rushed to the hospital after a scary fall on July 8. “Sitting in urgent care because I … am pretty sure I broke my finger,” she began the harrowing tale on her Instagram Story. She kept a good sense of humor about the ordeal but made it clear that she was very worried about her growing bump. “The really good news about this is that my pinky broke my fall. I didn’t fall on my stomach so that’s really good because I can still feel the baby moving, so phew.”

Unfortunately, she actually really injured her finger and ended up in a massive cast. “I don’t know why this is funny,” she giggled while demonstrating how she could barely move her pinky. “It’s not funny. I’ve never broken anything.” Fans couldn’t help but note that it was a bit strange that the starlet’s entire arm was wrapped up. “Everyone is asking me why I have a giant cast when I just broke my pinky. I don’t have an answer to that. This is just how I am. This is what the doctor did,” she hilariously explained.

The doctor recommended that she undergo surgery to put pins in her finger, but Carly decided to hold off because she didn’t want to add any extra risk to her pregnancy. She noted, “I’m always going to have a pinky that looks a little funny.”

We’re glad the starlet is doing A-OK after the terrifying incident. She and Evan looked better than ever during the finale and seem fully ready to take on this new chapter in their lives.

Congrats, you two!
