Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Are ‘Considering’ Moving From the U.K. to Canada: It’s ‘an Option’
Making moves? Possibly! While Duchess Meghan (née Markle) and Prince Harry comfortably reside in England with their son, Archie, the couple could possibly pack up their stuff and relocate to Canada.
The move “is an option,” a source told Us Weekly. “Meghan and Harry are considering it for the future.” You may be wondering why the couple would move to Canada? Well, before the 38-year-old was a royal, she lived in Toronto during her acting days on Suits. In addition, “Meghan and Harry have considered moving to Canada, as it’s part of the Commonwealth,” the insider added.
The former actress and her hubby, 35, currently live in Frogmore Cottage, where they moved to while Meg was pregnant with Archie. Previously, the parents of one lived in Kensington Palace with the rest of the royal family. The cottage, which was gifted to the couple from the Queen Elizabeth, is “much more private,” a source divulged to the outlet in April, adding that the duke and duchess are “very happy” living there.
Besides, living in the U.K. and possibly Canada, there has also been talk that Meghan and Harry could be purchasing a home in Malibu. “[Meghan] knows her home is in the U.K. now, but she does miss California,” a source exclusively revealed to Life & Style magazine in September. “With its year-round, almost perfect climate and beaches, both she and Harry think Malibu is the ideal location for a base in the States.”
“There are two properties they’re eyeing,” the insider added. “One near the members-only Soho House Malibu and one in a more remote area near Point Dume.” Regardless of where they live, we’re sure it will be perfect for the royal family of three.
There’s no telling when Harry and Meghan will make a move, if any. Besides, who knows what’s in store for them next, especially considering they have such a hectic schedule. The brunette beauty and her hubby recently returned from their royal tour in Africa, which was the first time they traveled out of England with their 5-month-old son. The little one was kept away from the spotlight for the most part, but when he made an appearance with his parents, Archie was a natural in front of the cameras. Meg even called him an “old soul.” How sweet!
