Is there anything Selena Gomez can’t do? On Monday, April 1, the “Same Old Love” songstress, 26, took to Instagram to reveal her role in the upcoming zombie flick The Dead Don’t Die. Of course, if you’re a diehard Selena fan, then you already know that this is hardly her first acting gig — ahem, Wizards of Waverley Place, Spring Breakers and many more. However, this is definitely her first time working with a cast *this* star-studded.

The Dead Don’t Die, coming to theaters on Friday, June 14, is described as “the greatest zombie cast ever disassembled,” including Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, Iggy Pop, Sara Driver, RZA, Carol Kane, Austin Butler, Luka Sabbat and Tom Waits.

Based on the trailer, Selena’s character, Zoe, has a more secondary role. Still, fans are super pumped to see on the big screen. “So excited to watch it!” one user commented on Instagram. “I missed you acting, sis!” added another. A few fans, on the other hand, were a bit annoyed to see Selena announce anything other than a new album. Sigh. Can’t win ‘em all, huh?

“WE NEED THE DAMN ALBUM,” one particularly fired up follower wrote. “Everything BUT anything solo music related. Wow,” another echoed. Give the girl a break, people. Considering how much of a roller coaster 2018 was for Selena — the brunette beauty was hospitalized for an emotional breakdown in October, followed by a month-long stay in a rehabilitation facility — any return to the limelight should be met with applause!

We look forward to her performance in The Dead Don’t Die and hopefully, when she’s ready, she’ll bless the world with a new album.
