Selena Gomez Is Slowly Creeping Back Into the Spotlight (and Our Spotify) With a Steamy New Song
She’s (basically) back, fam! Selena Gomez is featured on J Balvin‘s steamy new song, “I Can’t Get Enough,” and we’re so happy to have her back on our playlists. The singer has kept things pretty low-key since her month-long stay at a rehab facility after experiencing an emotional breakdown. She’s done her best to slowly get back into the swing of things and it’s exciting to see her get back into making music.
During the beginning of the song, the 26-year-old can be heard singing, “I can’t get enough,” to the hypnotic beat that’s perfect for a night out dancing at the club. She continues in her sultry tone, “I like that/ You like that/ So let’s be crazy … I want that daily.” You go, Sel!
In January, the former Disney star collaborated on a song called “Anxiety” with Julia Michaels. In the middle of the song, the “Bad Wolves” artist talks about being vulnerable in front of a crowd. The lyrics read, “Always wanted to be one of those people in the room/ That says something and everyone puts their hand up/ Like, ‘If you’re sad put your hand up/ If you hate someone, put your hand up/ If you’re scared, put your hand up.'”
We love to see Selena sing her truth but it’s also amazing to listen to fun pop songs, something she’s always done well. Hopefully, she’ll start working on more solo work soon. In the meantime, the brunette beauty is focusing on relaxation and spending plenty of time with friends and family.
Back in January, she let fans know that she saw all their kind words and well wishes. “It’s been a while since you have heard from me, but I wanted to wish everyone a happy new year and to thank you for your love and support,” she wrote on Instagram. “Last year was definitely a year of self-reflection, challenges and growth. It’s always those challenges which show you who you are and what you are capable of overcoming. Trust me, it’s not easy, but I am proud of the person I am becoming and look forward to the year ahead. Love you all.”
Glad to have you back, Selena!
