Sofia Richie Enjoys Beach After Near Run-In With Ex Scott Disick

A little summer fun never hurt anybody! Sofia Richie was spotted enjoying a beach day with friends in Malibu on August 29, just one day after she nearly had a run-in with ex Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian.

In photos obtained by Life & Style, the 22-year-old rocked a wetsuit as she and her friends took several inflatable tubes out into the ocean to lounge in them. The up-and-coming actress was also seen wading into the surf by herself and taking some waves head-on.

The model’s beach outing with pals comes after she almost ran into her ex-boyfriend, 37, and the mother of his children, 41, while they were out to dinner together at celeb hotspot Nobu in Malibu. Just minutes after Scott and Kourtney arrived at the restaurant, Sofia arrived with a group of friends. It is unclear if the trio did, in fact, cross paths — but it was certainly a close one.

Sofia has been hanging out with friends a lot since her split from Scott. The pair first broke up briefly in May, a month after the Talentless founder’s stay at a Colorado rehabilitation facility to address past emotional trauma. He returned to Los Angeles days after arriving for treatment due to his personal information and photos of himself at the facility leaking online.

The Flip It Like Disick star reconciled with the blonde beauty after reuniting at a 4th of July party in Malibu — but their fence-mending was short-lived.

“They were very happy together but Sofia could not handle his issues,” an insider exclusively explained to Life & Style just after their second split in mid-August. “They were never cut out for the long term because he has too much baggage and has trouble opening up to anyone besides Kourtney. When he gets low, Kourtney is the only person he can turn to.”

Scott and Kourtney have been spending a fair amount of solo time together, as well as enjoying family vacations throughout the summer, so it’s clear the father of three has been “leaning on” the Poosh founder “more and more” since his rehab stay, the source noted. “Their dynamic is that she likes to care for him and he depends on her for support.”
