It’s over. Scott Disick and Sofia Richie officially broke up after nearly three years of dating, a source confirms to Life & Style. Even though the couple have been “on and off” for years, they’re “not getting back together this time.”

Their split comes after The Talentless founder, 37, checked himself into a Colorado rehab facility in April to try and better his mental health.

As Life & Style previously reported, the two were “taking some time apart.” According to an insider, “It was Sofia’s decision” to go on a break. “Scott’s a lot to handle and has been spiraling over recent months,” the insider explained.

The lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic seemed to have made the situation worse for the Flip It Like Disick star. “His demons were getting the better of him and issues he’d brushed under the rug caught up with him during self-isolation,” the source added. “He’s still trying to come to terms with his parents’ death.” His mom, Bonnie Disick, died in October 2013 and his dad, Jeffrey Disick, passed in January 2014.

“It was a one-two punch, one right after the other. He put on a tough-guy facade, he set his feelings aside, never fully coped with the emotions surrounding this major loss,” the source said. “That’s why he’s still struggling with it.”

Scott and Sofia, 21, began dating in September 2017. Though they’ve had issues over the course of their relationship, things seemingly took a turn for the worse once they began quarantining together in March. Since going their separate ways, Scott “is focusing on himself and the kids” while Sofia “is spending time with friends.”

Fortunately, the father of three has a good support system. He’s been “leaning” on his ex Kourtney Kardashian, with whom he shares Mason, 10, Penelope, 7, and Reign, 5. The Poosh.com founder, 41, is “helping” Scott “get back on the straight and narrow” after his rehab stint, another source revealed to Life & Style. “She’s seen him go through troublesome times in the past and is one of the few people who gets him.”
