Taylor Swift ‘Likes’ Post About Travis Kelce Breaking Chiefs’ All Time Touchdown Reception Record

Taylor Swift proved what a proud girlfriend she is when Travis Kelce set a new Kansas City Chiefs record during his Christmas Day game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Travis, 35, became the team’s all-time leader in touchdown receptions with 77, surpassing Chiefs legend Tony Gonzalez‘s 76 during the Wednesday, December 25, game in Steel City.

The Chiefs shared an Instagram post about Travis’ achievement, which Taylor, 35, “liked.” It read, “If you ever can’t find Travis, chances are he’s in the end zone. Congrats, @killatrav!”

Travis broke the Chiefs’ all time touchdown receiving record by catching a 12-yard pass in the end zone during the fourth quarter of the game against the Steelers. They went on to win the game 29-10 and secured the top seed in the AFC playoffs, as well as home field advantage, thanks to their 15-1 record.

That should come as a relief to Taylor, who had to hit the road for January playoff games in Buffalo, New York, and Baltimore, Maryland, to cheer on Travis on the Chiefs’ road to the 2024 Super Bowl. They beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime by a score of 25-22 at Las Vegas, Nevada’s Allegiant Stadium.

While the “Karma” singer attended several of Travis’ road games during the 2023 season, she’s only appeared at his home games in 2024. While some of the matchups conflicted with the final leg of Taylor’s Eras tour, she noticeably passed on watching Travis play in Buffalo on November 17, despite performing the night before in Toronto, Canada, which was only a two-hour drive from Highmark Stadium.

The Chiefs went on to lose their only game of the season to the Bills. Sportscaster and friend of the Kelce family Adam Lefkoe hinted that Taylor was made uncomfortable by Bills fans while attending the divisional round playoff game in Buffalo on January 21.

“I have heard from people very close that it was not a great experience in Buffalo. It was not. For all parties involved. And I’m talking about the most famous of all the parties,” Adam, 37, told Kay Adams on her Up & Adams YouTube show on November 14.

“I think that it kind of shocked the Kelce family and everyone related to the Kelce family the reception they got,” Adam continued. Taylor was joined by Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, and his wife, Kylie Kelce, during the Buffalo game.

“I think they were kind of going in being like, ‘This is going to be an amazing game with good energy.’ And they got there and they experienced Bills Mafia in full form, in its complete ruthlessness,” he added. “And I think they left and went, ‘I don’t know if I want to experience that again.’”

Travis relayed how things got “disrespectful” towards his loved ones during the game on the January 24 episode of his “New Heights” podcast following the Chiefs’ win in Buffalo.

“There was a lot of hate pulling up to that stadium, man. Understandable it’s a football game, the Bills, coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? One thousand percent. Did it get a little extra? One thousand percent,” Travis stated

When Jason, 37, asked what was said that got “extra,” Travis explained, “I’m not gonna say, because that’s what they want. Some things were said about the families. Some pretty inappropriate things were said about Pat Mahomes, it was pretty whack.”
