Just one day following the birth of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son, Kate Middleton and Prince William are sharing their excitement for the first-time parents. “I wish him all the best,” the proud father-of-three, 36, told U.K. reporters on Tuesday, May 7.

“I hope that in the next few days they can settle down and enjoy having a newborn in the family and all the sort of joys that come with that,” he continued. “It’s such a special time,” Kate, 37, echoed.

“With Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays, it’s such a great time of year to have baby,” she gushed. “We look forward to meeting him and finding out what his name is going to be … it’s really exciting for both of them!”

The Duchess of Cambridge then offered a little bit of parenting advice, “These next few weeks are always a bit daunting the first time around and we wish them all the best.”

As it happens, though, no matter how “daunting” the process, Kate has her sights set on baby No. 4. “Kate’s suffering from baby fever,” an insider close to the royal family told Life & Style exclusively. “She’s not getting any younger and doesn’t want to wait around.”

William, on the other hand, isn’t sure if the pair is ready for another little one! “William is hesitant. He thinks it’s enough hard work looking after three kids who are five years and under,” the source revealed. “But I’m sure Kate will manage to change his mind — he’s a great dad and adores children.”

A great dad, indeed! We have no doubt that with his influence and advice, Harry and Meghan will be able to raise their son as effortlessly as Kate and William have raised their own darling children.
