Yolanda Hadid Confirms Gigi Hadid’s Pregnancy With Zayn Malik: Our ‘Little Secret Has Been Leaked’
Confirmed! Yolanda Hadid opened up about daughter Gigi Hadid’s pregnancy with Zayn Malik. “Of course we are thrilled,” the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said in a translated statement to Dutch broadcasting station RTL Boulevard. “I can’t wait to become a grandmother.” The starlet is reportedly 20 weeks along and expecting a baby girl.
The proud mom, 56, admitted their family is “still in shock” that their “little secret has been leaked to the press.” Yolanda noted that the 25-year-old’s pregnancy is extra meaningful since the death of Gigi’s grandmother, Ans van den Herik, in August. “It is quite special since I lost my own mother so recently. That is the beauty of life: One soul is leaving us and another is coming. We feel very blessed,” the author added.
An insider exclusively told Life & Style that Yolanda and Gigi’s sister Bella Hadid were both “shocked” by the baby news. “[They] didn’t know what to think when Gigi first told them [about the pregnancy] … but now, they’re excited,” explained the source. “Seeing Gigi so happy makes them happy. They’ve welcomed Zayn into the family.”
The blonde bombshell was first romantically linked to the former One Direction singer, 27, in 2015. They’ve dated on-and-off through the years, and they most recently reconciled in December 2019. Although they’ve had a bit of drama in their romance history, they’re in it for the long haul. “Despite everything that’s happened between them and all their ups and downs, they’ve come out stronger than ever. They’re in a great place and are madly in love,” gushed the insider.
The longtime lovers are in baby heaven, and the “Pillowtalk” artist is treating the mama-to-be “like a princess,” a separate insider exclusively dished to Life & Style. “[He’s] constantly asking her if she’s OK and running around after her.” Their bundle of joy has given Zayn a new lease on life. “Finding out that he’s going to be a dad has put a smile back on Zayn’s face,” added the insider. “He has a more positive outlook on life and really pulled himself together.”
Of course, the “Let Me” singer isn’t the only one who is excited. Gigi is “ecstatic that she’s having a baby girl,” another source exclusively divulged to Life & Style. We can’t wait to see what their daughter’s closet looks like one day.
