Chris Pratt, 35, attended the March of Dimes event Friday night in Beverly Hills and spoke about the struggles he faced with his son Jack, who was born prematurely.
Weighing in at just 3 lbs, 12 oz. at birth, Pratt explained how he and wife Anna Faris, 38, watched his son grow into a "strong, smart, happy, funny, beautiful boy."
"I've done all kinds of cool things as an actor," he said. "I've jumped out of helicopters and done some daring stunts and played baseball in a professional stadium, but none of it means anything compared to being somebody's daddy."

"I made promises in that moment about what kind of dad I wanted to be, and I just prayed that he'd live long enough that I could keep them," he said.
Today, the 2-year-old is now stronger than ever -- and Pratt gives credit to March of Dimes, which was founded in 1938 and funds lifesaving research to end premature birth, for where his son is today.
Friday night's event raised over $1 million.
