Having been a breast cancer survivor herself, Giuliana Rancic is lending her name to a good cause.
During October, the E! News host will support the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago as they observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month with opportunities to dine, drink and paper for pink with proceeds benefiting The Lynn Sage Foundation.
The hotel and Allium restaurant are participating in the foundation’s fifth annual ‘In Good Taste’ campaign to raise funds to support breast cancer research.
“Early detection is everything, it’s what saved my life,” Giuliana, who is an advocate for breast cancer awareness, has said. “If you detect breast cancer early, you have a 98 percent five-year survival rate.”
After years of struggles with infertility and IVF injections, Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. In December 2011, she underwent a successful double mastectomy. Though she and hubby Bill Rancic faced one of the toughest years of their lives, they welcomed their first son, Edward Duke, via gestational carrier in August.
