Mom and dad’s night out! Amy Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, stepped out for a date night on Tuesday, November 12, while attending Charlize Theron‘s Africa Outreach Project fundraising event. The couple welcomed their son, Gene Attell Fischer, back in May and seemed happier than ever enjoying some quality time together.

“We left the house,” the 39-year-old hilariously captioned a snapshot of her and her hubby, 39, at the swanky event on Instagram. The comedian looked stunning in a silky black Rachel Comey dress while the chef rocked a casual blue striped suit. Celeb makeup artist Andréa Tiller and hairstylist Kimberly Gueldner helped to enhance Amy’s natural beauty for her red carpet appearance, and the star added she felt “healthy and beautiful.” Yes, mama!

Although the new parents left Gene at home for the evening, he was still top of mind for them. The Trainwreck star got candid about how she’s changed since becoming a mother while at the event. “I didn’t know I could love someone that much no offense to my husband, who’s here, but yeah, I think we’re both shocked by the level of love that’s possible,” she told Entertainment Tonight while adding that she feels “so lucky.”

The I Feel Pretty star previously admitted that she’s in a great spot emotionally as well. “I love him so much it hurts,” she wrote about Gene on Instagram when he turned five months old on October 6. “I’m feeling strong and good and like I’m still a human being with interests and ambitions and goals I’m excited to reach.”

While Amy and Chris are head-over-heels for their newborn, their bond is equally strong. The blonde bombshell took a moment to rave about her supportive man on Instagram. “Before we had our little babe it was just us,” she captioned a silly selfie on October 27. “I love Chris so much. I hope whoever you are with is so kind to you and also drives you crazy but you love them so much and you want to hang out with them more than anyone.”

Although they don’t quite see eye-to-eye on road trip protocol, they’re in it for the long haul. “That’s what we got and I’m grateful for this guy everyday [sic] even though he loves taking different routes every time we go somewhere and I like going the way I know. It’s good,” she added.

Keep slaying, you two!
