This is just heartbreaking. On Oct. 22, Ariana Grande took to Instagram to share a sweet video of her late ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, just one week following her sudden split from Pete Davidson. In the since-deleted clip, Mac appears to be getting ready for a red carpet event with the help of Ariana’s mother, Joan Grande, and her grandmother, Majorie Grande. Watch the video above to see the clip.

Mac, who tragically passed away on Sept. 7 from an apparent drug overdose, dated Ariana for two years. The pair eventually called it quits in May — and the “God is a Woman” singer began seeing Pete shortly thereafter. Even if Ariana has acknowledged the “Self Care” rapper’s death many times on social media, sources are now suggesting that the 25-year-old hasn’t properly taken the time to grieve her loss.

“Ever since Mac passed, [Ariana] has been avoiding the grievance process and has been trying to keep herself insanely busy,” a source confessed to E! News, adding that Pete served as a “big distraction” for Ari, but following their split “reality sank in.”

Not only has Mac’s passing continued to weigh on Ariana post-breakup, but it also reportedly affected the dynamic of her and Pete’s relationship while they were still together. “Their relationship was really complicated with the passing of Mac Miller,” an insider close to revealed to Us Weekly. “It put a tremendous amount of strain on their relationship.”

At this time, Ariana has yet to formally comment on calling off her engagement. However, Pete recently broke his silence during a comedy skit on Oct. 21. “Um, I’ve been covering a bunch of tattoos, that’s fun,” the 24-year-old quipped in reference to his multiple Ariana-themed tattoos. “I’m f–king 0 for 2 in the tattoo [department]. Yeah, I’m afraid to get my mom tattooed on me, that’s how bad it is,” he continued.

“And it was like in a magazine like, ‘Was Pete Davidson stupid?’ And 93 percent of it said yes. So, my boy, he was like, ‘Don’t listen to that s–t man. They’re literally f–king haters.'” Pete then joked about how the internet trolls were right. Hmmm, it sounds like Pete is using humor to cope. Our hope is that Ariana is able to find a positive outlet, too. After all, it’s been an incredibly difficult few months for her. Stay strong, girl!
