Aside from the new ‘do, the actress has also changed something else about herself — she’s dropped a bunch of weight!

Throughout 2018, she was on a quest in the gym to get fit and she absolutely reached that goal. Even though she was dedicated to her plan and progress, some haters accused her of getting plastic surgery. SMH.

But, the real story is that she worked with celeb trainer MackFit to shred up and get down to business with her fitness — you know she was dedicated to the ~fit life~.

In fact, she loved her results so much, it really brought her self-esteem to new heights. “Ariel’s self-esteem is also at an all-time high. She’s looking amazing and dressing less provocative and it’s paying off. She says it was a phase she was going through,” an insider told Life & Style exclusively in January.

Even though she’s made incredible strides, that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a big struggle to get there. Ariel has been vocal about her struggle with antidepressants and how they affected her weight loss.

“For years I had been on antidepressants that caused me to gain weight that I couldn’t lose no matter what I did,” she told her followers during an Instagram Live back on April 9. “It was always frustrating for me because I wanted to be able to get fit and feel like the work I was doing was paying off, but it never felt that way.”
