Vulnerable About Her Journey

Over the years, Ariel has been transparent with fans about her weight issues, and during a recent Instagram Q&A session, she got super vulnerable. “For years I had been on antidepressants that caused me to gain weight that I couldn’t lose no matter what I did,” she explained. “It was always frustrating for me because I wanted to be able to get fit and feel like the work I was doing was paying off, but it never felt that way.”

Sticking to Her Word

After revealing that she lost weight thanks to the change in medication, she said she still has a long way to go. “It’s nice to work out and have your body actually respond, but I want to gain a few pounds of muscle and get healthier,” she added. “Also … I want my butt back.”

Queen of Classy Comebacks

In January, Ariel denied she had plastic surgery when she slammed a fan for criticizing her appearance and comparing her to how she looked in the past. “I appreciate you wanting to help girls love themselves the way they are, but you are also kind of cutting someone (me) down, which isn’t what I think you were trying to do?” she said. “I also didn’t get plastic surgery. That is almost not being supportive of women if you’re just assuming something about the way they look.” Preach!
