“Jared and I hope to actually be shopping for a Baby Haibon a year from now,” Ashley, 31, surprisingly captioned an Instagram photo of the pair perusing baby items at a store on April 22. The two have obviously talked a lot about their future.

She added, “We’d consider ourselves so fortunate if getting pregnant goes according to our plans.” Considering life can be pretty unpredictable, it’s probably good that they are prepared for the unexpected.

Ashley and Jared’s BFFs from the franchise Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert actually confessed that they suffered a miscarriage after the show.

Hard Times

“I had a miscarriage. These words have burned inside me for over three years. I was honestly so scared to share our story because I have always had this inner voice that’s said I don’t matter as much, especially when it comes to my struggles or my pain,” Jade, 32, admitted on Instagram in February.

Her heartfelt post continued, “I’ve been keeping this weight for a long time, but being pregnant with our second child, all these emotions have been on the surface for me. I just felt it was time to get it out of me and share our story and honor our baby.” Jade and Tanner share their 20-month-old daughter Emerson Avery Tolbert and have a second baby on the way.

Ashley and Jared, 30, are definitely taking notes about parenthood from their close friends. The couple has already started taking steps to prepare for their own bundle of joy someday.

Practice Makes Perfect

They recently got a four-legged friend to raise together. “We just got a dog. Her name is Lois. She’s very much our child right now,” Jared exclusively told Life & Style at KIIS FM’s iHeart Radio Jingle Ball presented by Capital One in December.

A Cute Lesson

Their new pet actually helped to teach the reality duo about each other’s parenting styles. Ashley added, “She’s really teaching us how it’s going to be. That’s on a very minor level.”

Ashley revealed during her Almost Famous podcast with Ben Higgins that she previously considered freezing her eggs for her 30th birthday.

A Change of Plans

However, since finding her guy, things have changed. “It’s nice that I didn’t have to spend $50,000 to freeze my eggs, but you know, you never know what’s going to happen. Hopefully, it’s not an issue for us,” she said.

Although the couple is being realistic about conception, they still are having fun envisioning their future family.

If They Could Choose

“Ideally, like in my dream world, I would like to have an older boy then two younger girls. But you know, you can’t choose. I mean, no. Well, we’ve been talking about that. I might be crazy one day, but right now we’re going to do it in a natural way,” Ashley divulged.

But First …

Before they start trying, the couple will be tying the knot this upcoming August in Rhode Island.

Bridal Details

Ashley will obviously look gorgeous in any wedding gown she picks but she told Us Weekly in July, “It’s got to be strapless, sweetheart. I think princess ball gown.”

Solid Reasoning

She explained, “I can wear, like, a mermaid or a form-fitting dress at any event I go to, so I kind of want to do the ball gown, which I can’t do at any other time.”

Two Looks

She elaborated more about her multiple dress plans in April. “They are both princess gowns that everyone would kind of expect from me … One is cleaner and one is more, I want to say, Victorian-esque,” the reality starlet gushed.

“Our wedding’s not going to be a party, it’s going to be a romantic experience,” Ashley dished to Us Weekly in December about the vibe of their big event.

Jared noted about their guest count, “Yeah, that’s the way we want it. So it’s going to be not huge, but big. We’re having 180 people.”

A Long Time Coming

The duo first met during season 2 of Paradise in 2015. At the time, Jared didn’t reciprocate Ashley’s romantic feelings. They remained good friends and things obviously changed between the two. They confirmed that they were back together in May 2018 and were engaged a month later.
