Former Bachelor stars Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham called out to fans to send well wishes on April 29 ahead of the birth of their first child, because the baby is still in the breech position. Lauren has about five weeks left in her pregnancy and is keeping her fingers crossed that everything will go as smoothly as possible for the arrival of their new bundle of joy. Keep scrolling for more details!
“This is what I imagine [Baby Luyendyk] is doing [right now],” the 27-year-old captioned a photo of a newborn with its feet up by its head on her Instagram Story. “She’s been breach [sic] for over 10 weeks as far as I know. Everyone send your positive vibes/prayers our way to get this munchkin flipped!”

There’s Still Time
Normally, most babies will move into the delivery position as the time of birth approaches. “Breech position” is when the butt or feet are closer to the birth canal, instead of the head. One in 25 full-term births occurs in the breech position, according to americanpregnancy.org.

Lauren has a little more than a month left until her due date so there is a chance the baby will still flip into the proper position.

Proud Papa
Arie, 37, is stoked for fatherhood. “I think it’s cool, you know? We’re experiencing being new parents, so we’re on all the apps, learning about the development of the baby, and it’s just been an awesome ride so far. I can’t wait for her to come,” he told the outlet.

A Tell-Tale Sign
The newly minted spouses reflected on the moment they knew Lauren was expecting. Spoiler: The racing stud had a hunch first. “The first sign that I had, or Arie had, was that I started craving meatballs for breakfast, and I’m usually a very light eater. I don’t like a lot of red meat,” she explained.

Don’t Get It Twisted
Just because Lauren’s pregnancy was a surprise, doesn’t mean the couple wasn’t over-the-moon excited. Lauren had the most epic clapback to someone who called their baby an “oops” on Instagram.

Love on Reality TV
Arie confessed it felt a “little” good to prove the haters wrong after he originally chose Becca Kufrin during The Bachelor finale and then changed his mind. Lauren noted, “It wasn’t ever about proving anyone wrong for us, it was our life.”

Silver Lining
Surprisingly, the awkwardness of the way Arie’s season ended helped the duo. “I think it really brought us together, I guess, the controversial ending of our season,” Arie explained. “We communicated really well and I think that’s the biggest thing in our relationship — we talk it out. If anything is ever frustrating, we lay it out there right away. It doesn’t fester.”

Each Other’s Endgame
“I think the biggest thing is always relying on each other over anyone else … We’re very honest and open about everything we’re feeling. And we’ve been able to be there for each other throughout tough times and really fun times too,” Lauren added.
