Sam Asghari Gushes Over Girlfriend Britney Spears on Her 38th Birthday: ‘You’re My Princess’
Too cute! Britney Spears‘ boyfriend, Sam Asghari, wrote the sweetest tribute to the singer in honor of her 38th birthday. The pop star has received an outpouring of love from her family — including sister Jamie Lynn Spears — and fans on December 2, and it’s amazing to see that she’s also in a great relationship.
“We live, we laugh, we argue, and most of all we LOVE,” the 25-year-old captioned a hilarious video of himself completely wiping during a rollerskating date while “Break the Ice” played in the background. “There’s a reason why the world fell in love with you! You might be the princess of pop but mostly you’re my princess … Biggest Happy Birthday to you @britneyspears.”
The athlete added with a slew of laughing emojis, “My ass still hurts from falling and breaking the ice … you get it?”
Sam and Britney first met in October 2016 on the set of her music video “Slumber Party,” and the stud confessed that he didn’t even “have to audition.” It turns out, he stood out to the blonde bombshell right from the beginning. “It was a direct book,” Sam recalled to about the project during an interview on September 4. “A good friend of mine was working on the music video at the time. They told the casting director, ‘You should cast this guy,’ and then they sent my pictures to my [future] girlfriend and she picked it. She said, ‘I want this guy.’ And that’s how it was.”
Although he’s now dating an icon, Sam confessed that they hit it off in a very casual way. “At the music video, we connected, we talked,” he explained. “We talked about, ‘What do you like to eat? Sushi.’ … And then [exchanged] text messages and, next thing you know, a date. Just like a normal couple.” Too cute!
Sam wasn’t the only one to rave over the impact Britney had on their life. Jamie Lynn, 28, also had sweet things to say about her big sis. “When Britney got a perm, well, I had to have one too (as pictured above). Some things never change,” the 28-year-old captioned an of the two as kids, which she shared on December 2. “Always looking up to you. Happy Birthday to my sister.”
