Cody Simpson’s Mom Is All For His Relationship With Miley Cyrus: It ‘Lights Up My Heart’
It looks like Cody Simpson has his mom Angie Simpson’s seal of approval when it comes to dating Miley Cyrus. Angie took to Instagram on Sunday, October 13, to gush about her son, 22, and his pop star girlfriend, 26, by writing the sweetest message.
“Puts a smile on my dial to see you both so blissfully happy,” she captioned a black and white selfie of the pair. “Hearing your laughs and seeing the smiles on your faces lights up my heart #happyforyouguys #beautifullsouls @codysimpson @mileycyrus.”
In addition, Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus, couldn’t help but agree. “Puts a smile on my face too, @angiemsimpson. Love you my sweet friend,” the 52-year-old commented on the IG post. It’s a love fest because Miley replied to the photo with a bunch of black hearts. Aw!
Cody and Miley went public with their relationship on October 4, after a video of them kissing at a restaurant went viral. It wasn’t long until the “Wrecking Ball” crooner confirmed their romance. “Can a girl not get a f–king açaí bowl and a morning makeout session in peace?!?!” she wrote on her Instagram Story at the time. On the same day, she also shared a shirtless pic of Cody showing off his muscles. “22 
Australian (my type) Abs ,” she wrote on the snap.
A few days after, Miley was hospitalized and shared footage of Cody visiting her while she was unwell. To help lift her spirits, he even serenaded her with a song he wrote for her. “This sweeeeeet guy came to visit at the hospital and sang the sweeeeeetest song he just wrote for me” she gushed at the time. These two couldn’t seem happier!
Miley’s relationship with Cody came almost immediately after her fling with The Hills: New Beginnings star and Brody Jenner’s ex, Kaitlynn Carter. Prior to that, Miley was with Liam Hemsworth on-and-off for 10 years. The two tied the knot in December 2018, and by August 2019, Liam filed for divorce, allegedly citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Thankfully, the Hunger Games alum, 29, has also moved on. On October 10, photos of Liam holding hands with actress Maddison Brown surfaced. The two looked calm and happy during their New York City stroll.
