It’s never fun looking at your ex’s social media anyway, no matter how much we do it. Clearly, Pete Davidson feels the same way because his ex-fiancée Ariana Grande recently revealed that he has her blocked from seeing his posts. The pair has been through quite a lot since the start of their relationship back in May, and it seems as though these two are finally starting to really break free from one another. It’s always a process though, as most of us know from experience. Most intense relationships, like Ari and Pete’s, don’t quite end with a bang. It’s usually more like a fizzle, and after SNL jokes, breakup songs, and covered tattoos? A social media block could just be final nail in their relationship coffin.

On Dec. 3, Ariana took to Twitter to explain her support of her ex-fiancé just hours after he posted an emotional message to his Instagram regarding his mental health struggles. “I have never encouraged anything but forgiveness. I care deeply about Pete and his health and would never encourage any kind of mistreatment,” the singer wrote in a direct message to a fan. “I haven’t seen any of it because I’m blocked but I want you to know that I would never want or encourage that ever and you should know that. I care about him deeply.”

Ariana is incredibly interactive with her fanbase on Twitter, so it’s really cool to see her get so real and personal with them about the situation between her and Pete. But no matter what’s going on behind “blocked” doors, Pete is undoubtedly using the distance to give himself a little clarity, as a source that spoke with Us Weekly said he’s “trying to distance himself from her narrative for his health.”

Ari clearly has a big heart, because this isn’t the first ex she’s been vocal about supporting post-split. Not all of us can put the drama aside! But we really love that Ari can see the bigger picture –– happiness and health should be priority, and to wish all of your exes that, despite the circumstances? Now that’s what we call heroic.
