Back in the game! Nearly two months after his very public split with Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson is ready to dabble in the dating world again, according to Us Weekly. As Charlotte York once taught us on Sex and the City, it takes half the amount of time you went out with someone to get over the relationship. Ari and Pete were engaged for four months, so this isn’t too far off.

“Pete is dating again,” a second source confirmed to the publication. “He’s in a good place and he’s happy. He’s not in a rush. He’s focusing on himself and the future.” It looks like Pete is just taking it one day at a time, and we don’t blame him.

Ariana and Pete broke things off so suddenly, without much explanation, that fans weren’t quite sure what to make of it. Ari vaguely cleared the air a tiny bit during her “thank u, next” music video.

During the parts of the video that are spoofing Mean Girls, the singer, dressed as Regina George, is writing about her past boyfriends in the “Burn Book.” Obviously, Pete had a page to himself where Ari wrote “I love u always” and “sry I dipped.” While this doesn’t give a crystal clear idea of what happened, it does allude to the idea that Ariana broke things off.

While Pete is coping with the break up by getting back in the dating scene, Ari doesn’t seem ready to go that route yet. As reported by Us Weekly, in a series of now-deleted tweets, Ariana said, “Actually, I don’t want no ‘next.” She added, “True love doesn’t exist. Hope you’re having a great day!” Yikes.

It turns out, the singer just needed a snack. She tweeted later, “True love might exist I was just hungry.” She quipped after, “but still, f—k that.”

Well, there’s really nothing much to say after that. Good luck out there, Pete!
