Ariana Grande’s Manager Defends Pete Davidson From Fans On Instagram: ‘Stop The Bull—t’
He’s baaaaack. Pete Davidson made his return to Instagram after taking a vow of social media silence amid his public split with Ariana Grande. It went…not super great. After news of their breakup surfaced on Oct. 14, the SNL actor deleted all the photos on his feed and stayed under the radar. Well, as under the radar as one can when they’re on a weekly live show. The comedian wasn’t exactly greeted with a warm welcome, specifically by Ariana fans.
Pete took to Instagram to promote his new film Big Time Adolescence that has been selected to screen at the Sundance Film Festival in 2019. He shared a few pictures of scenes from the flick. Alongside Pete in many of the photos is his co-star, Machine Gun Kelly, who’s a personal friend of both Pete and Ari. He captioned the series of photos, “see you at sundance muthf—s.”
Fans of the “God Is A Woman” singer were already skeptical of Pete after the two got engaged after only a few weeks together. Now, they’re not holding anything back. Besides a slew of comments that simply said, “thank u, next,” in reference to Ari’s new bop, one person remembered that they only followed Pete because of his romance with Ariana by saying, “Oh shoot I still follow you? Oops yikesss.” Another person noted, “Haha look he came back,” and someone else chimed in, “90 percent of his followers didn’t know him till he was with Ariana.” Ouch.
There were comments of support for the comedian, and his true fans are glad to have him back. Even Scooter Braun, Ariana’s manager, stepped in to defend Pete. He said, “Stop the bullsh*t. It’s nothing like that and Pete is a good dude. No one has hate for this guy and he’s a stand up guy. Show respect because trust me everyone on this side knows he deserves it and wishes him well.”
Well, if anything, that comment means Team Ari actually doesn’t have any ill-will towards Pete. Leave it to Scooter to clear up any cloudiness. Good luck on your next post, Pete.
