Looks like Gwyneth Paltrow is healing with the help of “three delicious chicken recipes.”
After announcing her separation from husband of 10 years, Chris Martin, on Goop Tuesday, the blonde actress broke her silence about the breakup on her own lifestyle website.
In a new post titled “One Bird, Three Meals,” Gwyn writes a short paragraph about a few chicken recipes featured in her latest online issue, before adding, “P.S. CM [Chris Martin] and I in deep gratitude for the support of so many. ♥”
The pair are currently on vacation in the Bahamas with their two children, daughter Apple, 9, and son Moses, 7.
Though the Coldplay frontman has yet to release a statement of his own, his family has publicly shared support for the couple.
His father, retired accountant Anthony Martin, said while it’s “sad and upsetting” the duo couldn’t make it work, he claims they’re “still great mates” – something the former couple has also said.
“If you are married you know you have good days and bad days,” Chris’ dad explained. “We all have our ups and downs. It is sad because there are our two grandchildren. But it is all very amicable between them."
He even laughed when trying to remember the title of Gwyn and Chris’ statement, “Conscious Uncoupling,” which has given many people ammo to poke fun at the superstars.
“It’s all in the statement, the expression that was used. Conscious…,” he told British newspaper The Mirror, before adding, “I am very proud of what they have achieved in their lives.”
Chris’ brother Alex also shed some insight. “[Chris is] bearing up OK,” he said. “I love them both dearly, we all get on and there is no animosity. Me and my brother are very close.”
Another person who loves them dearly? Gwyn’s BFF Cameron Diaz — who dished on the situation Thursday.
“They've made a conscious effort to separate the part of their lives they don't want to live together anymore, and maintain a really beautiful, strong bond as parents and as friends…I think people should really honor that and they should admire it and they should respect it,” the actress said, “They've done something really extraordinary, and they've been very brave at presenting that to the public.
Cam added of her bestie, “She’s doing great. They’re doing great.”
Gwyn, 41, and Chris, 37, released their separation statement Tuesday:
"We have been working hard for well over a year…to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."
"We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner."
