Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Celebrated Thanksgiving in Nashville After Being Apart Last Year
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were able to celebrate their first Thanksgiving together this year after being apart for the holiday in 2023. The couple reportedly spent November 28 in Nashville with their families, according to People.
Although Travis, 35, had a football game in Kansas City on Black Friday, he was able to make the quick trip to Tennessee on Thanksgiving to spend the day with Taylor, 34, and her parents, Scott Swift and Andrea Swift. Travis’ family – including Jason Kelce, Kylie Kelce and their three daughters – were also in attendance, People reported.
“Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving together with their families,” the mag’s source revealed. “It’s the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together. Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year. … It was very festive and special.”
In 2023, Taylor was in South America for the Eras tour during Thanksgiving, while Travis was back in the States keeping up with his football schedule, so this was the first time they were able to celebrate the holiday together. However, leading up to the big day, fans were worried that they were going to be apart this year, too.
In mid-November, Donna Kelce appeared on the Today show and addressed whether she would be spending Thanksgiving with Taylor. “I don’t think so,” the mom of two admitted. “She’s kind of busy right now. She still has her tour to do.” Luckily, there was a break in Taylor’s schedule that allowed her to be with her loved ones on the holiday.
One day after the special occasion, Taylor attended the Chiefs’ game at Arrowhead Stadium. Travis and his teammates beat the Las Vegas Raiders 19-17 to bring their season record up to 11-1.
Now, Taylor has one more weekend of shows left on the Eras tour and will be playing in Vancouver on Friday, December 6, Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8, before wrapping up for good. However, she recently teased that she already has something new in the works.
In The Eras Tour Book, which was released on November 29 in Target, Taylor included a note to fans that ended with the message, “See you next era.” While she has not shared any plans for a 12th album, fans took this cryptic phrase to mean that there’s already a new “era” in the pipeline.
Until then, Taylor has a big upcoming night at the Grammys in February 2025, where she’s nominated for six awards, including Album of the Year for the Tortured Poets Department. The “Blank Space” singer made history at this year’s Grammys when she took home her fourth AOTY award and became the first person to ever win that many in the coveted category. Fans are also anticipating the releases of her last two rerecorded albums, Reputation and Taylor Swift.
Plus, with the tour coming to an end, she’ll have a lot more time to support Travis in his football career. The Chiefs will finish out the regular season on January 5 before moving on to the playoffs in hopes of becoming the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row.
