Note here for the shade! Bachelorette contestant Jed Wyatt slammed a hater on Instagram who said he doesn’t use his “head and heart” in his dating life. After his tumultuous engagement with Hannah Brown ended, the Bachelor Nation star has received a lot of backlash. Now, he’s dating someone new — a Miami native named Ellen Decker — and is done taking criticism over his prior romantic mistakes.

“Ready to pour my soul into this year. Feeling more focused, driven and happy than I ever have. Extremely thankful for the people and lessons of 2019,” the 25-year-old wrote on Instagram on January 7 about his upcoming goals for the new year. “My number one priority is getting closer to God this year. I’ve been working on it for about 5 months now — and I’ve had ups and downs — but I’ve found the more I focus on Him, the more I find joy in my life and relationships. Secondly, I want to be more intentional in spreading love and positivity towards others and myself. I wish the best for all of you. Let’s make 2020 our little booger.”

Although Jed sounds like he has a great outlook on life these days, negative comments came rolling in. “Intentional? So you want to actually date a girl with both your head and your heart?” some responded. The aspiring musician got engaged to the Alabama beauty during the season 15 finale. However, things fizzled out quickly when Jed’s ex Haley Stevens came forward and claimed that they were still dating when he left to compete on the reality show and he only went to boost his music career.

Jed has obviously moved on and replied, “I *am* dating a girl with my head and my heart and my hands.” He and Ellen went Instagram official at the end of October and seem absolutely smitten with each other. “So proud of you. Keep blocking out the negativity and remember what’s real!” she commented on his latest photo. Jed replied, “ILY.”

The reality star’s dad, Jerry, also responded with words of encouragement after his son’s clapback. “Kudos! Obviously people have no clue! You move ahead in reality and lift others up.”
