OMG. Hannah Brown and Jed Wyatt got engaged during the finale of The Bachelorette but their happiness quickly fizzled out when she found out he lied about his relationship with Haley Stevens. The country singer’s ex came forward and alleged that they were still dating when he left for the show, which was a different story than the one he told his newly minted fiancée. She later admitted to Chris Harrison that she and Jed are done.

“I am not with Jed anymore,” she confessed on After the Final Rose. “The engagement is over, we are not together. That is not what I said yes to.”

Before revealing this news, fans got a window into their demise back in Greece, just a few weeks after they got engaged. “Jed and I have had some really great times, we have had silly dance parties, we played stupid game … that I need in a relationship,” she began in a private interview. “With Jed, I was so happy because I thought I was getting this person that I can spend life with who was sweet and sincere and honest and that has not been the case.”

She continued to explain her feelings around the drama. “It was hard to hear but I tried to let that go. Then a few weeks later, I get the news that there was a People magazine article that was out,” she explained. “I start reading out and it was not the same story that I was told. The article said that he didn’t really end their relationship before he came here.” She added, “Jed has muddied the waters of our future together and it’s not what I thought said yes to.”

Jed later came to talk things through with Hannah. The leading lady gave him a chance to explain himself. “When I met her, I was very single,” he began. “I was going out with my friends and just being young and having fun and I didn’t feel like it was an exclusive thing. I was dating around and it never felt like a relationship to me.” However, after he told her about the multiple trips they took together, saying “I love you” and their scheming before he left — Hannah wasn’t quite buying it and she felt “betrayed.”

Hannah, who was obviously hurt, said, “You slept with her the night before you went on the show. This is humiliating for me.” She then revealed information she received about two girls going to his apartment in Nashville but Jed said he “didn’t know” them.

“Everything you do affects me. Why would you allow girls to come to your house and at least not tell me afterward?” she demanded. Jed simply responded, “I guess I should have, obviously.”

Hannah was exhausted at this point. “It’s very hurtful. I know what I want, I have been doing all of the things to be prepared for this,” she confessed. “I was so in the right place for it and so it sucks. And now to know this, [I’m] betrayed. Like, how would you ever be ready to be engaged? … I have been doing all the freaking steps and knew what I wanted.” She added, “There is just a lot that feels like career and being noticed and it feels like it is using me, our relationship for that.”

Jed seemed desperate to win her back. “You’re everything I have ever wanted and needed in a woman,” he divulged. “I said it and meant it and I know this other stuff makes it stack up that I am not telling the truth. Please tell me where do you want me to grow? Where do you see me lacking that you want me to be better at?” The former beauty queen demanded “100 percent honesty.”

This got Hannah thinking back to hometown dates. “Now, it makes me think about everything and why and you came for this and this … I went to your family and they were so skeptical of it, no wonder.”

Jed tried to explain, “I know I had opportunities to tell you but I would get there and stop myself because I would just lose it and that is selfish of me.” She then accused him of “tainting” her entire journey with “half-truths and lies.”

The Nashville native kept trying to apologize. “I see now — I didn’t see s—t,” he said. “I was letting myself just dwell in a lifestyle that was just hurting me and hurting other people and in turn has come around to hurt the person I actually love and want to be with forever. That is not something that I didn’t lie about at all. I am sorry.”

Hannah just wasn’t able to see past it and took off her engagement ring.

Later, the reality babe joined the show host on After the Finale Rose where she recounted finding out about Jed’s lies. “I have sobbed on the floor, I felt like … my whole life just caved in and everything I thought was true and real wasn’t. I have been mad as hell and just questioning what happened.”

There is a silver lining for Hannah. “I have gotten a lot stronger through it,” she promised.

The exes came face to face for the first time since their split. “I wasn’t the best I can be … It ruined what we have here in a place that I never would have expected to find love like this with someone who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with,” Jed began. “I am sorry I took away that experience from you … I am responsible for this. I will own up to this all day.”

Chris then asked why he didn’t come clean earlier. He explained, “I was acting out of fear instead [of] out of love and respect for you. I was scared to lose you. I felt like I had closure on my part. I can now see it wasn’t on other people’s parts, but I held out because I was scared to lose you.”

As his parting words, Jed apologized profusely and added, “My love for you will never leave me.”

Hannah admitted, “I am not trying to punish you but my feelings have changed. I think when that trust was broken, my feelings really just were broke with that and I don’t love you like that anymore.” She noted, “I know you have hurt me, but I am not trying to hurt you right now. It’s not what anybody needs to start a relationship on — lies and not feel confident in that. I just want to feel really confident in my forever.”

How Hannah’s love story unraveled sucks but we know she has bright things ahead.
