We’re down to the final four! Bachelorette star Hannah Brown embarked on hometown dates with Peter, Tyler C., Jed and Luke P. during the July 8 episode. She traveled all over the country to visit each family of her final few contestants. Some of the dates went picture-perfect, but others had a few bumps in the road. Either way, she’s getting closer to finding her prince charming and getting engaged. She likes all the men so much that the rose ceremony took a very unexpected turn. Hannah’s first stop was Westlake Village, California, to visit Peter. The pilot looked thrilled to have the leading lady in his hometown and was excited to show her an average day in his life.

Hannah, Peter and his Mercedes took off for a stylish drive. Honestly, the contestant looked very studly standing next to his swanky car.

While digging through the center console in his car, Hannah uncovered a condom and assured Peter that only “hugging and kissing” was going to happen. Oh, behave!

Before meeting his family, Peter took the Southern beauty on a private plane ride. The duo even flew over the Bachelor Nation mansion. He seemed to love sharing his passion with her and they grew even closer … after the successful landing.

Peter then took Hannah to meet his parents, Barbara and Peter, and his brother, Jack. His crew was just as sweet as fans expected and everyone seemed to hit it off.

Tough Questions
Jack grilled Hannah about her feelings for Peter and asked if she was in love with him. “I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t think my feelings were on track to be there,” the Alabama native assured.

Not Hiding It … From His Family
Peter was very candid with his family. “Our connection has been fire … I’m definitely there. I’m falling for her like crazy right now,” the stud admitted to his mom. He made it clear to his relatives that he’s head-over-heels for the leading lady.

“I’m falling for you so hard and I’m so OK with it … It’s been so perfect in so many ways,” Peter told Hannah as they were saying goodbye. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to drop the L-bomb. He later confessed during a private interview, “I wanted to tell her so badly but it’s scary … Watching her drive away, I wish I would have said something.”

Hannah arrived in Jupiter, Florida, to have some fun in the sun with Tyler. The hunky contestant took her cruising around on a boat followed by some dancing in their swimsuits. One thing is for sure: They make one fine couple!

The Sweetest Reunion
Tyler previously opened up about his dad’s health struggles. His hometown date was the first time he was able to see him since he left for the show. Although his father, Jeff, was still struggling with a “paralyzed vocal chord,” the two were thrilled to see each other.

A Change of Heart
Jeff’s health battles helped to put life into a new light for his son. “My dad getting sick and almost dying put a lot of things into perspective … I want him to meet my wife,” he admitted.

The Feeling Is Mutual
Jeff could see Hannah and Tyler’s chemistry immediately. “I haven’t seen my son this happy in a long time,” he said.

Is Tyler ready to propose? It’s not out of the realm of possibilities. “Sometimes it think about it and it scares me, like, holy cow,” he divulged. “But, there’s no doubt I could be that guy and get down on one knee.”

Needless to say, Tyler was completely smitten after their amazing hometown date. “This was everything I needed and more,” he told Hannah as they kissed goodnight. “This got me so excited to move forward … I want to be able to step up for you. I do feel like I’m falling in love with you.”

Hannah then headed to Gainesville, Georgia, for her big day with Luke. He’s been a controversial contestantliterally the entire season. Surprisingly, the date went extremely well and she got to see a different side of him.

Hannah joined Luke for a “Sunday school” group Bible study. He recounted his personal story about changing his partying ways while in college.

Luke has been considered the ~villain~ of the season. However, his friends had nothing but amazing things to say about him. Hannah definitely looked relieved.

Luke’s family equally gushed about the former football player and his dad, Mike, seemed particularly thrilled about his relationship. “I truly am so thankful because … my relationship with Hannah has been on track. I’m refusing to let any of the noise get into my track,” Luke assured his father after talking through the drama he experienced with the other contestants. “She continually proves to me that she’s so worth it.”

After their fab day together, Luke opened up even more. “There still may be concerns that you have,” he told Hannah as they were parting ways. “I’m going to keep showing you who I am. I see a future in you … Without a doubt, I can tell you that I do love you.”

The leading lady connected with Jed in Knoxville, Tennessee, the city that his parents also met and fell in love in. He’s an obvious frontrunner since he’s the only guy who Hannah has told that she’s falling in love with him.

Jed joked that since he had to step into the beauty queen realm during the Mr. Right pageant on the first group date, he was going to show her his world. He took her to a recording studio where they wrote a song about their love being ~written in the stars.~

Instead of waiting until the end of their day together, Jed came right out and said, “I love you. I can feel it.” He admitted during a private interview, “Hannah has such a beautiful heart … She just shines inside and out.”

Hannah met Jed’s whole family during a picnic and they seemed like a good time. However, they quickly got down to business about the couple’s reality after the camera’s stop rolling.

Hannah asked Jed’s mom if he would be ready to get engaged. Unfortunately, her answer was less than ideal. “I wouldn’t have felt that way before because he’s a musician … his path is different,” she said. Although the former beauty queen appreciated her honesty, she later admitted, “That definitely sets off a few alarms in my head.”

Jed’s sister seemingly had the same reaction to Jed’s new relationship. “I’m very protective of Jed … Honestly, him potentially falling in love with you, I’m not sure if it’s a good thing,” she told Hannah. Hannah felt extremely confused after their hometown date and sadly said, “Tonight did not go as I expected to go. I did not get the validation I wanted.”

This was probably the hardest rose ceremony of the season. The remaining four guys all have strong relationships with Hannah and the decision was weighing on her. Before she gave out the final rose, she was overwhelmed with emotions and walked away.
