It finally happened! Bachelorette star Hannah Brown got engaged to Jed Wyatt during part 2 of the finale on July 30. The country singer got down on one knee and it was actually an extremely sweet moment that (of course) involved his guitar. Jed caught Hannah’s eye early on and their relationship has been heating up quickly over the season.

“When I met you I wanted to see a light inside of you and I wanted to know the deepest part of you,” Jed began when he saw Hannah. “The way you’ve made me feel and the light that you have inside of you is brighter than I could have ever imagined.” He admitted that “talking is hard” for him so he broke into a ballad about their love.

Hannah was smitten over her guy. “I have always prayed for my future husband … I sometimes question why God has allowed things to happen in my life the way they did,” she began. “The struggle, the way I have struggled and had the heartbreaks … There were so many times it would be it and it wasn’t, and I didn’t understand why but it has led me to this moment, it has led me to you.”

She continued, “I have been praying for this moment a long time. I have been praying for you. You have supported me, you have loved me, you have challenged me and it’s made me love so so much. And I am in complete love with you. I love you, Jed Wyatt.”

Before making things officially, Jed said, “I have lived 25 years of my life without you and I don’t want to go another day of my life without you being all mine.”

That’s not to say that the day didn’t have a little drama. “I feel like Jed is as honest with me as I am with him and that is what you want out of a life partner,” Hannah gushed before the proposals. However, the starlet’s nerves began to kick in. “This week has been the hardest moment of my life,” she confessed during a private interview.

“It’s so hard because a life with Tyler is different than Jed and I am conflicted in my heart. I was hopeful that I would have clarity, but today, I don’t know. I don’t want to not be 100 percent sure and then make the wrong decision.”

She then got so overwhelmed that she had to jump out of the car. After taking a tumble on the cement, she said completely defeated, “I can’t do this.”

She was able to pull herself together for the big moment. After breaking up with Tyler Cameron, she was ready to face her future with Jed.

Hannah and Jed shared an incredible moment together during the finale and looked so in love. However, that was two months ago and a lot has changed. Specifically, they’ve had a dark cloud over them since his ex Haley Stevens came forward and alleged that they were still dating when he left for the show.

“We spent the night together the night before he headed to L.A.,” Haley told People in June about their alleged four-month relationship. “He told me [the show] was just an obstacle, and we’d be stronger on the other side because of it.” She added, “He said, ‘It’s probably not going to happen, but it’s a huge opportunity. I’m only doing this for my music.’ He only did it for his career.”

Jed previously dished to Hannah during their first one-on-one date that he came on the show to use it as a “platform,” but quickly discovered that he had feelings for the Alabama beauty.

Since Haley aired Jed’s dirty laundry, Reality Steve reported that he and Hannah are still together as a couple, but they took a step back and aren’t currently engaged.

Hopefully, Hannah finds all the ~clarity~ she needs off-camera.
