Yikes! Bachelorette contestant Jed Wyatt‘s ex-girlfriend Haley Stevens spoke out again after claiming that he betrayed her to date Hannah Brown. She took to social media on Wednesday, June 19, to thank people for all the support amid her heartbreak. The singer divulged that Jed claimed he was going on the show to promote his music and that they’d “be stronger” because of it.
“To everyone who sent an encouraging or supportive message: Thank You. You will never know how much each one has meant to me,” the songstress captioned a moody photo on Instagram. “To everyone who sent messages relating to my story I hope you know that you’re not alone. Your story matters. Your heartbreak matters. Thank you for reassuring me that mine matters too.”
Haley says she and Jed dated for four months before he left to meet the Alabama beauty queen. “We spent the night together the night before he headed to L.A.,” the blonde babe told People about the Nashville singer. “He told me [the show] was just an obstacle and we’d be stronger on the other side because of it,” she explained while adding that he always kept his intentions for applying clear. “He said, ‘It’s probably not going to happen, but it’s a huge opportunity. I’m only doing this for my music.’ He only did it for his career. He kept telling me, ‘I don’t want my dad to have to help me pay rent anymore.'”
Jed actually confessed his true reasoning for coming on the show during their first one-on-one date. “I was open to the idea because I love love. I do, I love the idea of it,” he began to explain to Hannah over dinner. “But my first thought was this is like a huge platform, and I just want you to know the truth. So I came in with that mindset, but every moment that we’ve had has taken that away and shown me that now more than anything I want to be with you.” His honesty definitely helped to woo the leading lady but he clearly left out one very important detail.
Neither Hannah nor Jed has spoken out about Haley’s claims. Time will tell how this unravels in Bachelor Nation.
Life & Style reached out to Jed Wyatt but did not hear back by the time of publication.
