Standing by her! Jason Tartick made it clear that he’s here for his girlfriend, Kaitlyn Bristowe, after she received backlash for comments she made about Hannah Brown as this season’s lead on The Bachelorette. The reality stud sent a message of support for the podcast host with one simple Instagram post on Tuesday, May 14.

The 30-year-old shared a video of himself on Today talking about the pressures that come with social media. “Especially on Instagram, everyone has an opinion and it’s damned if you do, damned if you don’t, good, bad and ugly,” he said in the clip. “Ignore the noise, stay focused on your relationship because everyone has something to say.”

In case there was any confusion, he added the caption, “… and that’s all I have to say about that #thebachelorette.” Kaitlyn, 33, appreciated the support and replied, “Preach, sister,” to the sweet gesture.

Her man also came through in the comments of the heartfelt video she posted explaining her quotes that were taken out of context. During an appearance on E!’s LadyGang, the reality starlet was asked who was the “least-deserving” leading lady in the franchise to which Kaitlyn responded Alabama Hannah.

As everyone knows, I too am very far from perfect. But this misunderstanding I have to address. As I said in the Bachelorette Reunion, I think Hannah is going to be one of the greatest Bachelorettes in history. I stand by that. She’s unapologetically herself, relatable, and owns the hell out of who she is as a person. I should know by now that editing of a show can cause hate towards me. And I’ve been receiving a lot of that. Sometimes I can brush things off, and I will always admit if I deserve it. But when I’m being accused of bashing other women, I need to explain. I had an absolute meltdown today due to negative comments, and headlines. I just want people to hear this from me. Media will run with stories but this just simply isn’t true. #TheBachelorette

“I wish I would’ve just taken the shot, but instead, I tried to find a loophole. … What I said was, ‘Me. I was.’ And I said all the ladies deserve it. They edited that out and I said, ‘Fine. Hannah B.’ Only because we hadn’t seen her season yet, so I thought it was my way out of answering the question. … I’m sorry that this got taken out of context.”

The Off the Vine host sometimes finds herself in hot water over how candid she is but she was not joking around with this apology. “As everyone knows, I too am very far from perfect. But this misunderstanding I have to address. … I should know by now that editing of a show can cause hate towards me. And I’ve been receiving a lot of that. Sometimes I can brush things off, and I will always admit if I deserve it. But when I’m being accused of bashing other women, I need to explain,” she wrote in the lengthy caption that accompanied her video. “I had an absolute meltdown today due to negative comments, and headlines. I just want people to hear this from me. Media will run with stories but this just simply isn’t true.”

Jason wrote, “Proud of you,” in the comments and he wasn’t the only one who rallied to support her. “Anyone that knows you, knows your heart … We all know you’re one of the greatest humans,” show alum Raven Gates added. Ali Fedotowsky noted, “I personally heard you talk about how great you think she’ll be!!!” Colton Underwood‘s girlfriend Cassie Randolph also jumped in and said, “You have the kindest heart. Makes me so sad and I hate the fact that anyone would try and say otherwise.”

It seems like Kaitlyn has a ton of support to see her through this!
