Kyle Richards Is ‘Taking Her Time’ Dating After Mauricio Umansky Split, Kathy Hilton Says
Kathy Hilton gave fans an update on her sister Kyle Richards’ dating life amid her separation from estranged husband Mauricio Umansky.
“I think she’s just taking her time. We just wrapped [filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills] a month ago, and so she’s spending a lot of time with her girls and they were,” Kathy, 65, told People in September, in a story published on Tuesday, November 5. “So, she’s really spending a lot of time with the girls.”
Kyle, 55, and Mauricio, 54, share daughters Alexia, Sophia and Portia Umansky. The Halloween actor also shares her eldest daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie, with ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie.
Kathy, who is returning to RHOBH during season 14, also shared where her relationship stands with her former brother-in-law.
“We’re family. I want it all to be nice,” the socialite told the outlet. “I have my nieces I love and adore and I like everybody to get along.”
Bravo fans were shocked when reports claimed that Kyle and Mauricio were divorcing after 27 years of marriage in July 2023. Although the couple claimed that the “D” word wasn’t a topic of discussion, Kyle and Mauricio admitted to experiencing “the most challenging” time in their marriage.
That said, the reality stars didn’t get out of the rut in their marriage and decided to officially separate. Kyle and Mauricio broke the news to their daughters on camera during RHOBH season 13.
“With any marriage, there’s issues that you have, and they come up and you get busy. You’ve got kids — my kids were little — I’m working, I’m being a mommy, and doing all that, [so, the issues] get put aside and will come up again,” Kyle said during the season reunion, which aired in March. “Some of the issues never went away. They were never worked on. And then something, like I said in my interview, happened where I did lose my trust.”
Both Kyle and Mauricio have sparked dating rumors with other people since separating. The Agency founder was previously spotted getting handsy with Dancing With the Stars partner Emma Slater and Alexandria Wolfe – and is now dating Nikita Kahn. Kyle, for her part, fueled dating rumors with bestie Morgan Wade on countless occasions. However, they both have denied having a romantic relationship.
In July, photos of Mauricio and girlfriend Nikita circulated the internet while they were on a trip in Mykonos, Greece. Although the steamy trip happened one year after Mauricio and Kyle announced their split, the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip alum wasn’t happy with her ex’s actions.
“It’s embarrassing for Kyle and for their daughters. She doesn’t like him very much, even if she puts a good face on it,” an insider exclusively told Life & Style at the time. “Truth is, Kyle’s anxious to wrap it up and divorce Mauricio, but the messy, pain in the butt process is taking a long time.”
The Buying Beverly Hills star and his new lady have since traveled the world together, and a separate insider told Life & Style that the trips weren’t going to stop anytime soon.
“Mauricio is head over heels with Nikita, he’s not dating anyone else and seeing her every chance he gets,” insider No. 2 dished in August. “He didn’t want to make a show of things, but he’s glad things are out in the open now.”
