Y'allLance Bass May Officiate Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s Wedding in Lisa Vanderpump’s Place
He’s swooping in to save the day! Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are getting married so soon and they’ll may be having a super special guest at their nuptials — Lance Bass. According to E! News, the former ‘NSync sensation will reportedly be officiating the ceremony in place of his close friend, Lisa Vanderpump.
“Lance was asked to officiate the wedding due to Lisa having to fly back to the U.K. to deal with her family matters,” an insider told the outlet. “Lisa has told Jax and Brittany that it’s unlikely she will attend their wedding and arranged for Lance to fulfill the duties.”
On June 20, news broke that the 58-year-old’s mother, Jean Vanderpump, passed away at the age of 84. The tragic death comes just a year after the restauranteur’s brother, Mark Vanderpump, committed suicide, so naturally, it’s been a difficult time for her.
The former boy-bander is “really excited and gladly agreed to help everyone out,” though, so as much as it’s a favor, it’s also a welcomed addition to the ceremony by all. Though everyone is bummed to not have Lisa joining them, the source revealed the couple still feel “really fortunate and excited, especially considering it was a ‘last minute’ decision.”
Jax and Brittany got engaged in June 2018 and footage from the sweet moment became the season premiere of season 7 of Pump Rules. The remainder of the season followed the couple in their planning toward their wedding and closed out the season with their engagement party. The nuptials themselves are said to be part of season 8 of the show, so we can only hope for some seriously great footage coming up.
Plus, Brittany and her costars and friends went down to sunny Miami Beach to celebrate her bachelorette party on June 4 — so you know everyone is wedding ready. We can’t wait to see Stassi Schroeder, Lala Kent, Katie Maloney-Schwartz, Scheana Marie, Kristen Doute and Ariana Madix busting a move at the reception!
