“Everyone’s happy and healthy, and they’re extremely grateful. He’s been an easy baby so far,” an insider told Us Weekly.
On August 26, Lea confirmed her newborn son’s name is Ever Leo with a sweet announcement via Instagram. “ForEver grateful for this true blessing,” she captioned a black and white photo of her and Randy holding their baby boy’s foot, adding a blue heart emoji.
The actress and businessman began dating in 2017. “It’s kind of crazy,” Lea explained at a Zola event. “They always say, ‘It will happen when you least expect it. It will happen when you least expect it!’ And I met my fiance at my best friend’s wedding. They had their siblings as their best man and maid of honor, but we were sort of the closest in the friend area, and we sat next to each other.”
While Lea had been romantically connected to many hunky actors, she was drawn to Zandy for being different from her typical type. “She loves that he’s not an actor and has no desire to be in the spotlight,” an insider told Life & Style, adding “she appreciates how kind Zandy is, and she loves that he knows fashion.”
The couple made things official in March 2019, when they tied the knot in an intimate Northern California ceremony. Just over a year later, they confirmed they were expecting in April 2020 when Lea shared a photo of her already growing baby bump with the caption, “so grateful.”
But it hasn’t all been good times for the couple. Just after her pregnancy announcement, Lea came under fire for alleged past racist and insensitive remarks to her former castmates after sharing a post in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
In a response to the backlash, Lea wrote, “I am a couple of months from becoming a mother and I know I need to keep working to better myself and take responsibility for my actions so that I can be a real role model for my child and so I can pass along my lessons and mistakes so that they can learn from me. While I am very sorry, I will be better in the future from this experience.”
We’re sure her bundle of joy will learn a lot from the new mama.
