Everything was coming up roses at Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle‘s baby shower in New York City on February 19. The celebrity guests in attendance for the 37-year-old soon-to-be mama‘s celebration got to create beautiful personal flower arrangements as part of the festivities.

Gayle King, one of the attendees, told CBS This Morning that Meghan “brought in somebody to explain how to arrange flowers” and help each of the guests create their own arrangements. So cute!

“I’ve never seen anything like this at a baby shower,” the 64-year-old news anchor said on February 21. “I mean, it just speaks to who [Meghan] is. She’s very kind, she’s very generous. [She’s] a really, really sweet person … it was a very, very small private affair and just a very special time for her.”

Gayle also revealed that Meghan got in touch with an organization called Repeat Roses, so the arrangements could be donated to nursing homes, hospitals, and other organizations in the NYC area.

The coalition gave Meg and her whole baby shower a shout-out on their Instagram page on February 22. “We were honored to match the beautiful floral arrangements designed by the Duchess of Sussex and her guests, including host @serenawilliams, to a few of our very favorite NYC neighbor organizations,” they wrote.

“The gesture of kindness brought smiles and an emotional health boost to pediatric cancer patients at @rmhnewyork, cancer patients at the @hopelodgenyc and to behaviorally and medically fragile men at the @uniquepeopleservices Vyse Avenues Program. The flowers brought a ray of sunshine on a cold winter day, and will be greatly enjoyed for the week ahead,” the organization continued.

Floral arranging wasn’t the only cool thing guests got to experience at the shower — the Duchess’ friend, Daniel Martin, revealed the adorable cookie favors from the party on his Instagram and we wish we would’ve gotten a goody bag, OMG.

The Dior makeup artist actually did Meghan’s wedding day glam, so you know the pre-baby bash was an invite-only event for the Duchess’ closest confidantes. Oh, to be a fly on the wall, huh?
