Sweet Treats! Meghan Markle’s Friend Daniel Martin Shares Cute Pic of Baby Shower Favors
With Meghan Markle’s due date approaching, she’s doing all she can to properly celebrate her bundle of joy, like getting her besties together for various baby shower celebrations. Daniel Martin, one of her closest friends, took to Instagram to reveal what a few of the party favors looks like and they’re too cute!
The makeup artist, who actually did Meghan’s glam on her wedding day, shared a photo of three cookies. One’s a bib with “baby” written on it, another is a seagull carrying a newborn, and the last one is a rattle. Of course the duchess, 37, is keen on protecting her privacy and leaving us all guessing since she’s not providing hints of the baby’s gender with the favors. The treats are all a beige/ gold color, which many consider to be gender neutral.
The pic was posted on February 20, a day after Meghan’s second baby shower in New York City. During her stay in the city that never sleeps, the former actress dedicated time to catch up with friends. Serena Williams and Amal Clooney are just a couple of the people who make up her squad and were part of the baby shower festivities.
One of the attendees was CBS This Morning cohost Gayle King and she said “a good time was had by all” at the shower.
“She’s a very private person. I think she should decide what she wants to say about this,” the TV personality, 64, said on the show. “But I hope she won’t mind me sharing this because I’ve never seen anything like this at a baby shower … They had flower arranging. They brought in somebody to explain how to arrange flowers. We all each made an individual vase.” Gayle went on to explain that the flowers were then donated to charities as a request from the mom-to-be.
“I thought that was a very sweet thing,” she continued. “I mean it just speaks to who she is. She’s very kind. She’s very generous, and a really, really sweet person.”
Aw, if that’s her now, we can only imagine how great Meg will be as a mama!
