Bella Thorne Celebrates Her Birthday With Ex Tana Mongeau and Boyfriend Benjamin Mascolo
No jealousy here! Tana Mongeau took to her Instagram Story in the wee hours of Tuesday, October 8, to share a sweet video of her ex-girlfriend-turned-BFF Bella Thorne and the actress’ current beau, Benjamin Mascolo. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, it is possible to get along with your ex’s new flame.
“It’s Bella’s birthday and Ben is brewing a cup of green tea right now haha,” Tana, 21, captioned a clip of the unlikely trio laughing. ICYMI: Bella, 22, and Benjamin, 25, began seeing each other in April — just two months after Tana and the former Disney Channel star parted ways romantically.
At the time of Tana and Bella’s breakup, things seemed amicable between the pair. However, their relationship took a sour turn in July. Basically, the popular YouTuber was spotted grabbing dinner with Bella’s ex-boyfriend Mod Sun and it led to a lot of highly publicized drama.
Important side note: Bella dated Tana and Mod, 32, at the same time, but Tana and Mod had a strictly platonic connection.
“Tana and I are no longer good. She broke girl code. I’m over it,” Bella tweeted. To which Tana fired back, “Imagine taking every time you’re mad at me to Twitter, but then telling people how much you care about me … WTF is this, B?” After that, Bella ultimately accused Tana of dating her for notoriety.
“You legit started dating me for Twitter,” she wrote. “How about you answer your phone and talk to me instead of being on Twitter.” Ouch! That couldn’t have been easy for Tana to read.
Thankfully, about a month later, Tana and Bella were able to reconcile. In fact, the once-lovebirds seem tighter than ever! Not only does Tana appear to be accepting of Benjamin, but she also supports Bella’s relationship with her new girlfriend, Alex Martini.
“Yes Martini!” Tana commented on a recent picture of the ladies snuggling (topless) in bed. Clearly, Tana and Bella are the exception to the rule — you can be friends with an ex (or … they still have feelings for each other and end up back together … only time will tell)!
