This time last year, it looked as if The Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson was headed for the single life. "My love tank is empty," she complained on camera, referring to her second hubby, Donn, whom she wed in 1994. But instead of throwing in the towel, Vicki and Donn began working overtime to keep their spark from burning out. In an exclusive interview with Life & Style, Vicki explains how the couple did it.

To help them reconnect, Vicki and Donn went back to church together and took long, romantic walks at night. They also worked through their marital problems in counseling. "We both wanted to get back on track and start making each other feel important again," Vicki explains.

Vicki and Donn felt such an improvement in their union, they renewed their wedding vows during a beach vacation. "It was my idea," Vicki says. "We were at the Grace Bay resort in Turks & Caicos in July. I felt like we needed a new start."
