After giving birth to daughter Esmeralda on Sept. 12, Eva Mendes not only debuted a slender post baby-bod on the Dec. 2 episode of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' but she also shared the first photo of her newborn — well, sort of!
The audience went wild when they heard the actress had a picture of the nearly 3-month-old, whose dad is Ryan Gosling, but the 'big reveal' turned out to be a fake composite of the two actors. Way to be sneaky, Eva!

Before showing the picture, host Ellen teased, "I mean Ryan Gosling is the dad so you can imagine how gorgeous this baby is." And after viewing the fake photo, she joked, "[Esmeralda] looks like both of you. I mean really, she looks like both of you doesn’t she? It’s hard to say who she’s more like."
Eva hilariously responded, "Yeah, very exotic."

When asked whether the real Esmeralda is sleeping through the night, the 40-year-old immediately replied, "No! No, God no...You know we’re getting the hang of it, the sleeping thing, but yeah I’m exhausted and it’s the best."

The 'Hitch' star, who wore a dress from her New York & Company clothing line, also offered up an explanation as to why she remained in hiding during her entire pregnancy.
"I think just early on, we decided it’s going to be very hard for [Esmeralda] to have privacy. And we thought this is the first opportunity we can give her to protect her and so then I had a nice calm pregnancy, which I did," she explained.
We respect that, but next time, can we get an ACTUAL photo of your baby?? Pretty please?!
