This is terrifying. A 40-year-old woman was arrested on the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 13, for allegedly trying to break into Prince George's London school, Thomas's Battersea, while the royal was in class. According to the Daily Mail, police were called after the unidentified female gained access to the school's premises. She was later taken to a south London police station where she remains in custody.
"We are working with the school, which is attended by His Royal Highness Prince George, to review its security arrangements after the incident. Police were alerted and officers attended immediately after the issue came to light," a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said in a statement. "Police are part of the protective security arrangements for the prince and we will continue to work closely with the school, which is responsible for building security on its site."

A Kensington Palace spokesperson told the Daily Mail, "We are aware of the incident but cannot comment any further." The break-in comes just days after a royal fan publicly expressed her concern about the building's security. Sarah Burnett-Moore, 54, recently told The Daily Telegraph that she filmed herself walking "freely" onto the grounds without anyone stopping her.
"I could have walked in with an IED and set it to go off on [George's first day of school]. I live just 200 meters from the school, and myself and lots of neighbors are worried about the security implications as the prince's presence will make the area a target for attacks," she said. At the time, the school was closed for the summer, but Sarah still couldn't believe how easy it was to make her way onto the premises.
In an announcement in March, Kensington Palace confirmed George, 4, would be attending Thomas’s Battersea. “Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to have found a school where they are confident George will have a happy and successful start to his education,” the palace said in a statement.
It is one of four family-run schools in London and despite it boasting a location just a stone’s throw away from their royal residence, George's parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, opted to send the tot to the middle-class, south west London branch. The $8,300-per-term school currently has 544 day pupils between the ages of four and 13.
