Katy Perry Pays $50,000 To Go On Date With BF Orlando Bloom And There’s A Good Cause Behind It
Anything for her man! Katy Perry attended an auction for the One Love Malibu benefit show on Sunday, Dec. 2, in support of those affected by the tragic wildfires. To help raise money, the benefit was bidding off a date with Katy’s longtime beau, Orlando Bloom. The auction took an unexpected turn when the “Roar” singer decided to join in and participate in the bid herself. She paid $50,000 to go on a date with her boyfriend and here’s how it went down.
According to clips posted on social media from the event, Katy started off luring auctioneers in by hyping her handsome bae up. “When you are on the motorcycle with him, you’re holding him in a way that I am not excited about! You’re holding his pecs and his six-pack and it’s so glorious, so, if you would like to bid on a ride with Orlando Bloom on a motorcycle… You could be male, female, whatever you want,” she told the audience. “So you get to hold on to Orlando for about 45 mins cause I know him, he has no idea where he’s going to lunch… Not only do you get to feel his pecs but you get to stare into his brown eyes.” Then, the bidding price started at $20,000.
While looking around to see if anyone would raise their hand to bid, one woman in particular was interested. The pop star asked her for her name to which she shouted “Laura.” Then Katy’s response had everyone shook. “Girl, you’re gonna love this!” she started off explaining. “I’ll send you on your way, I’ll put the helmet on you. Hold on tight.”
But wait, here comes the plot twist. It looks like the singer got jealous thinking about this “glorious date” that she took it upon herself to win. “I’m sorry, I’m buying it for $50,000,” she told Laura. And that’s one way dating your boyfriend can make a difference in the world.
