Mama and baby are lookin’ good, y’all! Comedian Amy Schumer gave birth to her son, Gene Fischer, on May 6 and the world has been overjoyed for her and her husband, Chris Fischer. The 37-year-old took to social media yet again to share a snap of her sweet baby boy — and he’s so adorable, we just hope the pics keep on comin’.

“New kid, who dis?” she captioned a sweet photo posted to her Instagram on May 10 of herself and her son laying down together. The adorable newborn was all swaddled up in a sheep and cow print blankie, complete with a little cap to keep his head warm and a pacifier. Also, he was totally passed out — sounds like that baby life. Mama, however, was up and awake, looking a bit tired (as to be expected) but great!

New kid, who dis?

Amy and her hubby, 39, announced they were having a boy on May 5, with the reveal of little Gene‘s birth coming the very next day. The few days surrounding the birth have been really exciting, which must feel so gratifying after the pregnancy complications the comedian experienced throughout the brunt of her term.

Early on, she was diagnosed with hyperemesis, a pregnancy complication that causes severe and persistent nausea — definitely not the ideal for nine whole months of your life. The condition was so difficult to manage that she had to postpone and eventually cancel tour dates for her stand-up tour.

The comedian has been nothing but vocal about the condition throughout her pregnancy, both on social media and in her latest stand-up special on Netflix called Growing. It’s been great to see her shed a light on such a difficult struggle. If you’re a fan of hers, you’ve probably seen how rough those “puking in the tour bus” videos were.

Mama and baby look happy and healthy and that’s all that matters! Keep those pics coming, guys.
