Pregnant comedian Amy Schumer has been an inspiration to women who are dealing with complications as they bring their children into the world. She’s always willing to laugh at herself and what she’s going through, so when she posted her latest baby bump selfie on March 30,  we couldn’t help but appreciate her showing off in her full glory.

“Feeling strong and beautiful today #didntpuke,” the 37-year-old candidly captioned the selfie post where she shows off her prominent baby bump in her bathroom mirror. She’s got on a bra and panties so you can really see her tummy on full display — and the girl looks like she’s ready to pop!

Strong and beautiful is absolutely right. Not only does Amy have that pregnant glow, but she also clearly is proud of herself for keeping the nausea at bay. The first-time mama has been very vocal about her struggle with hyperemesis, a condition where mothers experience severe and often unmanageable bouts of nausea and vomiting throughout the pregnancy.

The condition has caused the stand-up comic to cancel shows left and right throughout the gestation period. In late February, Amy called off the rest of her scheduled dates because of the uncomfortable illness.

“Due to complications from hyperemesis, I am not cleared to fly for the next couple of weeks. I am going to cancel the remainder of my tour. Refunds are available at point of purchase,” she explained in a detailed post.

“The baby and I are healthy and everything looks good. But I am in my [third] trimester and I am still nauseous all the time and vomiting,” she continued. “I vomit mostly every time I ride in a car even for [five] minutes.”

We can understand why this new selfie marks such an achievement for her. We love how she uses her humor and her ability to be brash and honest to highlight how difficult the infamous nine months of pregnancy can be — and we know women everywhere appreciate it.
