2009

The couple first met at Ashley’s church while she was volunteering. Ashley divulged that their innocent beginnings made their love bloom bigger than anything that came before.

“All I wanted to do was keep talking to Justin,” she wrote in her book A New Model: What Confidence, Beauty and Power Really Look Like. “The consistency and openness [were] so new, it felt weird. My romance with Justin was innocent and sweet. We went rollerblading and biking; we did karaoke, went to the movies, took an improv class together.”

2009

The pair decided to wait until marriage before having sex. “Because we weren’t sleeping together — for Justin, abstinence was a firm commitment to his faith — we never tempted ourselves by going over to each other’s apartments late at night,” she detailed in her memoir.

2010

Down the aisle! Ashley and Justin got married in 2010, which began the next chapter of their crazy adventure together.

2012

Justin started his personal Instagram page and his first photo is one cuddled up with his wife. “All I need in this life of sin,” he captioned the selfie.

2014

The pair spent Thanksgiving in Ashley’s home state of Nebraska. “Let the traveling, eating & festivities begin! #Nebraska, here we come!” the brunette beauty wrote and included “thankful every day” as the hashtag.

2015

Happy new year! The Mr. and Mrs. simultaneously celebrated Jason’s birthday, which is on December 31, and the beginning of 2015. “Happy Birthday to my best friend, lover and partner in life. I love you so much [Justin Ervin],” Ashley gushed with a red heart emoji.

2016

This was a huge year for Ashley’s career. She was featured on her first Sports Illustrated cover and started becoming a household name. She dished on how she kept her marriage strong during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“We have a rule,” she told the outlet at the time. “We don’t go longer than two weeks without seeing each other. It’s absolutely fabulous. I love it. We just meet in L.A. or New York. We meet in Paris, Miami. It’s pretty sexy.”

Justin celebrates eight years of marriage by sharing a sweet tribute about Ashley on Instagram. “My one and only. I love you so much and I’m so happy to have just completed our BEST year yet! January 2019

Ashley hilariously reveals the steamy details to keeping the peace in her marriage. “Just have sex. Have sex all the time. Even if you don’t feel like it, just have sex,” she told Elle magazine during an interview at the time. “I have found that if we haven’t had sex, we get snippy, and then if we are having sex, we’re all over each other … For us it’s like, ‘Oh, let’s have sex.’ And then we’re just right back in a great mood.”

Big news! The pair revealed that they were expecting their first child together on their nine-year anniversary.

“Nine years ago today, I married the love of my life. The soon-to-be parents spent a “tranquil” babymoon in Big Sur, California. She confessed to going “off the grid” to spend a little quality time with her hubby.

It’s a boy! Ashley accidentally spills on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she and Justin are expecting a son.

December 2019

Life & Style exclusively learned that Justin was designing a gorgeous push present for his expectant wife. “Ashley’s husband was the one that came to me and was like ‘Hey, I want to design something beautiful for Ashley for a push present,’” George Khalife a.k.a. George the Jeweler dished. “So, I really got to know him … I consider him a close friend now.”

Ashley opened up about her sex life (again) and how pregnancy made an impact. “I feel like every relationship goes in waves of sex,” she admitted during an interview with Vogue published on December 6. “You’re like, ‘Hey, do we need to plan this?’ And now, with pregnancy, things have been really different.”

“There’s this huge bulge that can be sensitive if you lay on it or go into a new position. I’ve been literally asking every single one of my friends who have had babies or who’re pregnant, like, ‘What positions do you guys do?’ This has to be a normal conversation among mothers,” she added.

He’s here! Ashley announced via Instagram Story on January 20 that she and Justin welcomed their first child on January 18. “At 6:00 p.m. on Saturday our lives changed for the better,” she said in a written statement. “Thank you for all your love and support during this incredible time.”
