Here we go again! Just when the Cardi B and Nicki Minaj beef had started to fizzle out, it looks like it’s back on and here to stay. After Cardi B’s new single was leaked online two days prior to the set release date, she pointed the finger at Nicki Minaj’s fandom, the Barbz, as the ones responsible for sharing the leaked version on social media.

Cardi first teased the song “Money” on Monday, Oct. 22, stating fans should expect her new single on Thursday. Somehow, someone got a hold of the track and leaked it on Tuesday instead. An angry Cardi took to Instagram Live to share her thoughts on why she believes the Barbz are behind this.

“Sometimes when you send your records early to these streaming or these music platforms, somebody from they building leak it and everything and then we try to retract it, but you know the Barbz. They always posting me. They always posting everything I do,” she said on Instagram Live.

Considering the damage had been done, on Tuesday, Cardi shared the real version of the song on all music platforms, without any warning.

She believes Nicki’s fandom is to blame because of the constant attention they show her. “They claim they hate me but, they really love me because they be on my page before my fans. Everything that I do, they be on it before my fans, so clearly that seems like love to me. So it’s like f–ck it. I can’t retract it. I might as well put it out,” she added.

While the shade is real, this doesn’t quite top Cardi B and Nicki Minaj’s highest point in their feud so far. Let us never forget when Cardi B got physical and threw a shoe at Nicki Minaj nearly two months ago at Harper’s BAZAAR ICONS party.

Hopefully it doesn’t escalate to that point again, however, we wouldn’t mind some diss tracks from the hip-hop stars instead.
