Oh, $#*! Nicki Minaj Just Released New Merch Aimed At Cardi B
The feud is alive and well, y’all. On Oct. 4, Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to release a new line of merch aimed at none other than her archenemy, Cardi B! Needless to say, the entire internet is shook. That said, unless you’re fully aware of all their beef, Nicki’s shade may not be so obvious to you.
Basically, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper and Nicki got into a huge fight during the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party. Shoes were thrown, knots were formed, and sides were taken. Shortly thereafter, Cardi took to Instagram to speak her peace. “I’ve let a lot of s–t slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags,” she began. Oh wait, isn’t “stop my bags” the exact phrase written on all of Nicki’s new merch? OMG. Not so subtle, right?
According to Urban Dictionary, “stop my bag or bags” means to hinder one’s ability to generate income. More colloquially, however, Cardi is suggesting that Nicki is messing with her money. While we totally get where Cardi is coming from, Nicki’s merch is pretty iconic. The best part, though? She disabled commenting on the Instagram post. TBH, we are screaming. She’s not even going to let Cardi’s fans try and defend their queen — Nicki is that slick.
At this time, the newly minted mama has yet to comment on Nicki’s not-so-subtle diss. Last we heard from Cardi, she was on Instagram showing off the new Lamborghini truck her husband and baby daddy, Offset, got her! Here’s hoping she keeps focusing on her fabulous ride — otherwise, there’s no telling what kind of retaliation Nicki has coming her way. Who knows? Maybe Cardi will decide to ignore the drama. LOL. Yeah, we thought it was a good joke, too.
