Dean Unglert Says He and GF Caelynn Miller-Keyes Are ‘Building Trust’: ‘We’re Taking Our Time’
Taking things slow in Bachelor Nation? That’s Dean Unglert‘s style. The reality stud exclusively dished to Life & Style that he and girlfriend Caelynn Miller-Keyes are taking their time after getting together on Bachelor in Paradise. He recently revealed that that the two will not be spending the holidays together, but they’re looking forward to more adventures ahead. For now, baby steps are the right pace for them.
“We’re building the trust as time goes on. We’re still we’re six months into the relationship, you know, so we’re still taking our time,” the 28-year-old divulged to LS during KIIS FM’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Presented By Capital One on December 6. Considering Dean has had a few stints on the franchise — as a contestant on Rachel Lindsay‘s season of The Bachelorette and Paradise season 4 — it’s no wonder he’s not affected by the pressure that comes along with meeting in such an unusual setting.
However, his previous appearances actually helped his new romance with Caelynn, 24. “I think that we both had to deal with our trials and tribulations both together and separately,” the Colorado native explained. “You know, she had kind of got put through the wringer with her experience on the show. I’ve been through the wringer in the past and so this time, I was able to kind of like ground her and make her realize that everything’s gonna be OK.”
Besides drama with Blake Horstmann, Caelynn also had a tumultuous relationship with Dean during her stay in Mexico. The two really hit it off, but he quickly dumped her because he wasn’t able to see a future outside of the show. He later returned and she left the beach in his van. Although they’re taking their relationship at a slower pace, they seem to be in a good spot these days. They even have some fun plans for 2020 … after the holidays.
“We are not celebrating the holidays together, Caeylnn and I,” Dean noted about their planned arrangement. “I’m going to Switzerland to ski in the Alps, and she is going to be with their parents and family in Virginia. But we will be together for New Year’s. I’m going to be in Berlin, and she’s going to come meet me in Berlin.”
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two!
